The Antares - I grew up in southern Jersey at the shore on a boat dock, most of my family and friends were fishermen. This boat is from a photo that I took while visiting my family in Cape May, New Jersey. I named it the Antares, which is the name of a boat that my Uncle Gene once owned. I was told the name means the brightest star in the southern sky. The boat is very detailed and I named the wharf across the way after my grandfather's dock, "Oswald's Marina", which really was over in that direction... as we natives called it "across the little bridge". It took me a very long time to paint this, I was very careful with all the detail.

The 60's - Where were you? Inspired from my childhood days and my older siblings, The 60's is a montage of happenings that changed the world for many people, the events and the thoughts of that era were of a different kind. Love and Peace, if only the 60's were that simple. But it was also a great time for some of us. Lots of things happened in the 60's and early 70's and I hope that I have captured the feeling of this era. In the late 80's early 90's the Nashville galleries got together and had a 60's show and this is my favorite out of the 3 that I painted for the city wide exhibit.

Under The Sea - With my love for the ocean and also being inspired by a good friend of mine, Sonia, another salty dog, I painted this piece. I love to fish and I love to snorkel, and this picture gives me a feeling of both when I look at it. Sonia, my friend, my husband, and I have been on trips to the beach in Destin, FL and have been deep sea fishing together on a boat called the "Back Down". Which I think is probably one of the best boats on the dock! In 1992, this painting was selected to hang in The Parthenon Museum and Gallery in Nashville, TN during "The 27th annual Central South Art Exhibition". It was an honor to be accepted in that show.

The Living Reef - I've always wanted to go to the Great Barrier Reef, and since I was not going any time soon, I thought I'd paint it instead. I love the yellow tangs, coral and sponges. This painting has really nice detail and color.

One Nation Under God - it was created from the terrorist attack that happened September 11th, 2001 at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, including the unsuccessful attack from flight 93. The montage is created from what I thought to be some of the most important aspects to remember for histories sake and for the love of all those who gave their all and the innocent victims along with their loved ones, also for the next generations to come.
